Fashion Slaves at de Young Museum after-party: Aidin Vaziri | Emily Jayne’s music career didn’t get off to the most promising start. “My first headlining show ever was at the Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, and the band that was going to play with me backed out at the last minute,” the platinum blond singer recalls. “There were two people there: One of them was my mom. The other was the sound guy.” But there was an upside: “It was the hardest I’ve ever played because I was so pissed off,” she says.Things have improved considerably.
